Qualifications

• Inspects vehicle and reports needed equipment or maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records per regulations and company procedures.
• Operates truck following safety procedures.
• Interacts with customers daily, providing service information and answering inquiries.
• Assists with sales initiatives.
• Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend deliveries.
• Ensures all DOT requirements are met; performs other duties as assigned.

The Propane Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Team-Work. Making deliveries in all type of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

Essential Functions:

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
• Assists with sales initiatives.
• Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
• Ensures all DOT requirements are always met.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance or dock work.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Hazmat endorsement and Tanker endorsement.
• Minimum 2-year CDL driving experience- Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from district manager.
• Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds.
