The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using IMS and other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform system programming tasks related to IMS, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of mainframe applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Document technical processes and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Participate in project planning and status meetings, providing updates on development progress and potential risks.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technologies, recommending improvements as necessary.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS System Programming.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Experience with mainframe debugging and performance tuning tools.
