Job summary

Geiger Ready-Mix Co is seeking Delivery Professionals to serve customers with concrete products in the De Soto, KS area. You will drive a Class B vehicle, deliver locally, and work with a dispatch team to meet customer needs on a daily basis.

Starting compensation ranges from $24 to $40 per hour, with benefits, overtime opportunities, and a team-focused culture that emphasizes safety and continuous improvement. Flexibility with varying start times and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement and no manual transmission restriction.
• Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical and regular drug screening.
• Safe driving record that meets federal and state motor carrier requirements.
• Ability to work safely in changing weather and construction environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and teammates.
• Ability to maintain a professional, respectful attitude in fast-paced or stressful situations.
• Strong consideration given to candidates with prior ready-mix, construction or heavy equipment experience and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete locally throughout the Kansas City area; home each night.

Required Skills and Qualifications

About The Schedule

Concrete is a time sensitive material and customer demand drives our schedule. As a result, start times may vary significantly, including occasional after-midnight starts. There are no guaranteed daily start or end times. Delivery Professionals must be willing and able to work varying daily schedules, early morning starts, overtime, Saturdays, and DOT-regulated hours as business demands require.

The pace can be demanding, but many of our drivers enjoy the variety, independence, team environment, and opportunity to increase their earnings through overtime and performance incentives.
