Job Summary

Harbinger Motors is a VC‑funded early‑stage electric vehicle startup based in Garden Grove, California. The position is located at the Harbinger Processing Center (HPC) in Sturgis, Michigan. We are seeking a highly motivated, self‑starter, organized Delivery Operations Manager to oversee Step Van distribution to the end customer as well as stripped‑chassis deliveries to upfitters. The role will work closely with the Sales, Upfitting, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure on‑time, mandatory configuration deliveries and documentation. The mission is to provide cross‑functional alignment and coordination to drive on‑time, quality deliveries, anticipate risks, identify potential issues early, and communicate them effectively to enable timely mitigation and prevent operational disruptions.

Job Responsibilities

• Prioritization: Work with Master Scheduler to ensure step‑van and chassis priorities are accurate, clearly communicated to the HPC team, and aligned with sales and upfitter build start dates.
• Generate a weekly report comparing what was supposed to ship vs. what was actually shipped.
• Pilot rework alignment: Execute pilot rework activities at chassis and step‑van levels; ensure required parts and materials are available, quality systems accurately document completion, and engineering is engaged for deviations or alternative dispositions.
• Oversee inventory control to ensure service parts are allocated correctly (consumed on the designated VIN).
• Quality Assurance: Be an expert on product configurations to ensure step vans and chassis are delivered to the correct specification; confirm all paperwork and inspection checklists are in place before delivery.
• Develop and maintain strict document control protocols and provide exceptional communication across cross‑functional teams.

Required Skills

• Five years+ experience in project or program management.
• Background in automotive is a plus with a basic understanding of medium‑duty commercial trucks.
• Eagerness to learn electrification of an automotive stripped chassis.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to extract information from cross‑functional teams (sales, production, quality, logistics).
• Fosters accountability across the cross‑functional team.
• High attention to detail for establishing strict document control protocols.
• Computer savvy with proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Work authorized in the United States or ability to obtain J‑1/F‑1 visa.
