Harbinger Motors Inc. seeks a Technical Specialist for Customer Deployments to become a go-to SME supporting deployed fleets and collaborating with Engineering and service partners. The role includes onsite work at customer facilities and field support, with up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities cover testing, fixture projects, calibration records, and service-procedure development. Prior EV/HV experience and strong communication are highly valued for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop.
• EV and HV experience is a plus.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent and an Automotive Technology degree or equivalent in experience.
• Natural ability to interface with people from different technical disciplines.
• Ability to self-start and execute tasks with varying information.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and field technical support for customer fleets.
• Support field events, testing, and special fleet deployments.
• Assist manufacturing build and engineering prototype activities.
• Manage tools, shop organization, and inventory.
• Lead fixture projects and equipment calibration records.
• Conduct hands-on testing and data collection.
• Develop service procedures and run trials.
• Train the service network and internal technicians.

As a Technical Specialist you will be an essential member of the Customer Deployments team. You will become a go-to subject matter expert in supporting Harbingers deployed fleet, You will partner closely with Engineering and external service partners to help ensure our fleets are well supported and have maximum uptime. Work at headquarters on prototype and manufacturing support. Work onsite at customer facilities for fleet field support. Work in the field supporting engineering test activities. This position requires travel 50% of the time.

What you’ll Do

What You'll Need

• 5+ years’ work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop
• EV and HV experience is a plus
• Graduation from high school or equivalent and an Automotive Technology degree from an institution, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• Natural ability to interface with many different people from many different technical disciplines and operate with them seamlessly.
• Ability to self-start, manage, and execute to completion given tasks with varying levels of advance information given in various written and verbal formats.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Factory training programs through OEMs are a plus.
• Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication
• Expertise with Vector CANoe/ CANalyzer a plus
• Strong ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions
• Ability to travel as required
