Job summary

White Cap Management LLC is hiring a Dispatch Manager in the Kansas City area to lead delivery operations and staffing. You will oversee drivers, routing, and vehicle maintenance while coordinating with warehouse and sales teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

A strong candidate has 7+ years of supervisory experience, expertise with routing software, and familiarity with DOT regulations and driver safety programs. This is a full-time, on-site role with growth potential.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience with routing software.
Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
Performs other duties as assigned.
