Job summary

Ground Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee FedEx pickup and delivery activities in Kingsport, TN. You will supervise drivers, plan routes, ensure safety and DOT compliance, and partner with FedEx leadership to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a hands-on leader comfortable with early mornings, extended days, and weekend involvement, with a starting salary around $78,000 per year and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Confident leader who can coach and motivate a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of personal accountability.
• Availability 6 days per week, Mon - Sat.
• Experience with FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL, Walmart delivery, courier services, trucking, or similar logistics environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch, route planning and execution.
• Lead driver and supervisor development and accountability.
• Coordinate safety training, DOT compliance and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain strong partnership with FedEx terminal management.
• Ensure operations run safely and efficiently.
