Company: Celerity Consulting Group

Location: Remote (work from home eligible) travel required

Compensation: $170,000 - $190,000 annually.

Company Overview: Celerity is a consulting firm specializing in utilities and energy sectors. We empower organizations by converting complex data into actionable intelligence to mitigate risk, optimize assets, and maximize project outcomes. Our background and expertise enable us to drive and deliver transformation and operational excellence for our clients.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of hands‑on project delivery experience in consulting roles across system implementation, data integration, enterprise platform rollouts (e.g., ERP, EAM, FSM), and digital transformation initiatives. This role demands strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and technical fluency to drive results in complex client environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in large‑scale technology implementations, strong utilities domain knowledge, and proven leadership in managing multi‑disciplinary teams including Technical Project Managers, Business/Technical Analysts, and Solution Architects.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Program Management:
  • Own end-to-end delivery of the FSM platform implementation, ensuring alignment with client business objectives, scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain the overall program plan, including milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, and critical path management.
  • Establish and govern delivery methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) appropriate to project needs.
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues; elevate appropriately with recommended resolutions.
  • Manage project financials including budget tracking, forecasting, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure robust change management and governance processes are in place throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on delivery matters, building trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings, status reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Manage client expectations regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring transparency and proactive communication.
  • Drive resolution of escalations and conflict, balancing client satisfaction with commercial and delivery constraints.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
  • Partner closely with the Technical Project Manager to align technical execution plans with overall program milestones.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Business Analyst to ensure requirements are accurately captured, validated, and translated into deliverable outcomes.
  • Work with the Solution Architect to ensure the technical solution design aligns with business requirements, scalability needs, and integration architecture.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate cross‑functional delivery teams (functional, technical, QA, change management, training).
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture across onshore/offshore or hybrid delivery models.
FSM Platform Implementation Oversight
  • Oversee configuration, customization, integration, testing, and deployment phases of the FSM platform (e.g., Salesforce Field Service, ServiceMax, IFS, Oracle Field Service, or similar).
  • Ensure the solution addresses core utilities field operations use cases such as work order management, crew scheduling and dispatch, mobile workforce enablement, outage response, asset/inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate integration efforts with adjacent systems (GIS, OMS, ERP, CRM, IoT/telemetry, billing systems).
  • Ensure data migration, cutover planning, and hypercare support are well‑managed to minimize business disruption.
Quality, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards, acceptance criteria, and utilities industry regulatory requirements.
  • Champion adherence to security, data privacy, and compliance standards relevant to utilities (e.g., NERC CIP, where applicable).
  • Conduct periodic quality audits and lessons‑learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, program/project delivery, or IT implementation roles, with at least 5 years in a delivery leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of leading complex implementation projects, and integrating with existing technology stack (ERP, CRM, CIS, BI, Datawarehouse, etc.).
  • Prior experience within the utilities industry (electric, gas, water) is strongly preferred, particularly in field operations, asset management, or customer service domains.
  • Consulting background with experience in client‑facing roles delivering high‑impact programs.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in team building and leadership, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to delegate, prioritize and go above and beyond to drive sprint deliverables as needed.
  • Technical proficiency in system integration, and data analytics.
  • Ability to travel to client site (domestic and (or) international) as required and defined per project requirements.
Certifications:
  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or similar certifications.
  • Certified SCRUM master (CSM) certification a plus.
  • Six‑Sigma certifications a plus.
