Job summary

Builders FirstSource is hiring a delivery assistant to help load, secure, and deliver customer orders using company vehicles. You will work under supervision to support the driver, manage paperwork, and help ensure timely, safe deliveries to customer sites.

The role emphasizes safety, route awareness, and teamwork with drivers. A valid license and physical ability to lift heavy items are required; GED or high school diploma is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year experience performing these tasks, or equivalent education and training.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly; up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and securing product onto/in delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized equipment.
• Assist Driver in delivering and off-loading at customer sites and obtain signed proof of delivery.
• Deliver orders using a company van or pickup truck; drive pilot vehicle for oversize loads.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles and comply with safety regulations.
• Plan and pace work to meet daily/weekly productivity goals.
