Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Driver Helper to support the driver with loading, unloading, and day-to-day delivery operations. This role involves handling freight, assisting route execution, and performing related duties to ensure safe and efficient service.

The position requires ability to lift up to 75 lbs, good communication, and attention to detail. Shift is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately load and secure freight for daily delivery routes.
• Scan and verify all route freight before departure.
• Assist drivers with route navigation and delivery coordination.
• Help transport freight to customer business and residential locations.
• Pull, stage, load, and unload freight using manifests and established operating procedures.
• Perform material-handling duties, including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and inventory counts.
• Identify and report overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when trained and authorized.
• Follow detailed work instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Maintain compliance with TSA, OSHA, company safety requirements, and customer‑site rules.
• Provide professional customer service and perform additional duties as assigned.
