Job summary

Fair Winds Logistics is seeking a Delivery Driver Helper (Non CDL) in Aurora, CO to ride with an experienced driver and assist with loading, unloading oversized packages, and delivering them safely to customers’ doors.

You will follow the assigned route, perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and communicate with dispatch to provide status updates. Training is provided, and shifts run seven days a week with overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old (DOT regulation for the vehicle class).
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen; random testing also required.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow directions.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to operate a smartphone and GPS navigation.
• Previous delivery/logistics or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
• Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs. alone, or up to 300 lbs. with team lift.
• Climb stairs with large packages; walk up to 6 miles per day.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Report to our warehouse location each morning for shift loadout and package preparation.
• Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading oversized and extra-large packages from a DOT-regulated vehicle (16-26 ft).
• Follow your navigated delivery route, ensuring all packages are delivered on schedule.
• Load and unload the vehicle with proper lifting and safety techniques.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections with the driver.
• Communicate with dispatch to provide real-time delivery status updates.
• Interact with customers professionally, representing Fair Winds Logistics with pride.
• Support the driver in maintaining the vehicle and completing deliveries efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols on the road and at the warehouse.
