Job summary

Amazon AWS Professional Services seeks a Delivery Consultant specializing in Data Engineering and Architecture to design, build, and optimize cloud data platforms for federal, state and local government customers. This role requires traveling to client sites and a Top Secret clearance.

You will lead data lake/warehouse design, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor teams while delivering secure, scalable data solutions using AWS services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 5+ years of database experience (SQL/NoSQL/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/Kinesis).
• Experience with SQL, Python, schema definition and secure, maintainable code.
• Active, current Top Secret or above US Government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Clarify customer business outcomes and translate them into data architecture and engineering solutions.
• Design and build scalable, secure data analytics applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose data migration strategies.
• Identify risks and communicate technical trade-offs.
• Act as trusted advisor on data trends and technologies.
• Mentor and create reusable artifacts within the organization.
