Job Overview

We are looking for qualified delivery drivers to staff stores in your area. Drivers will deliver pizzas and related items within a designated distribution area, providing excellent customer service while maintaining company standards.

Qualifications

You must be at least 18 years old and possess the following:

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery
• Strong navigational skills – proficiency in reading maps and locating addresses, including multi‑story buildings and adverse terrain

Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas, flyers, and door hangers to customers within the designated delivery area
• Drive safely, maintaining a clean driving record and following all traffic laws
• Navigate through various terrains, including multi‑story buildings, private residences, and commercial locations
• Carry and manage product loads (up to 50 pounds, various dimensions) using hand trucks, dollies, and other tools as needed
• Perform driving specific duties such as drop‑off at customer door, deliver merchandise, and adhere to scheduled routes
• Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers to process orders, answer questions, and resolve issues

Essential Functions & Skills

• Accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (calculator may be used)
• Ability to provide correct monetary change
• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills for order processing
• Motor coordination between eye and hand for rapid and precise movements with speed
• Keyboard or touch‑screen proficiency for order entry
• Proficient navigation of maps and designated delivery areas
• Capability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product

Work Conditions

• Varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks
• In‑store temperature ranges from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F or higher in other work areas
• Rapid temperature changes both inside and outside the store
• Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust
• Work in cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler
• Handling hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher
• Exposure to sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
• Deliveries involve driving and exposure to varying weather conditions

Sensing and Temperaments

• Clear hearing for telephone use; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
• Adequate far vision and night vision for driving
• Capability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, and work alone or with others under stress
• Meeting strict quality control standards and making judgments and decisions based on data

Physical Requirements

• Standing – most tasks performed while standing; walking surfaces include ceramic tile or linoleum
• Walking – short distances, short durations between store and delivery vehicle, and from vehicle to customer location
• Sitting – occasional for paperwork or brief periods at a desk
• Lifting – unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using hand truck; stacking onto shelves up to 72″ high
• Carrying – transporting items ranging from small cans to large trays while performing walking or climbing duties
• Pushing – moving trays on dollies (needs up to 7.5 lbs of force); pulling trays as required
• Climbing – navigating stairs or ladders to perform maintenance or transport items; may require climbing five or more flights during delivery
• Stooping/Bending – forward bending at waist at assembly station; duration up to 45 seconds repeated throughout day
• Crouching/Squatting – occasional while stocking shelves or cleaning low areas
• Reaching – continuously up, down, and forward; may reach above 72″ to operate ovens, change signs, or lift objects
