Position Overview

This position performs an array of duties for our warehouse operations and delivery services.

Responsibilities such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking, and filling orders from inventory, loading and unloading and various warehouse activities. Other responsibilities will include delivering Adornus products safely and efficiently to customers in a friendly, customer-focused, professional manner as well as loading and unloading product.

The goal is to ensure procedures are carried out accurately to maximize efficiency and profits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Being punctual, reliable, and dependable are key aspects of the delivery driver position
  • Completes pre-operational and post-operational inspections on all job-related equipment (i.e., vehicles, off-loading devices, etc.)
  • Loads, delivers, and unloads product to customers at agreed-upon time efficiently and safely, in a safe manner while paying attention to the quality of the product
  • Reads and completes required paperwork (i.e., pull/order sheets, packing slips, driving directions, etc.)
  • Communicates delivery specific information as needed to customers and staff to aid in route planning
  • Abide by all safety guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Company policies
  • Operates equipment and adheres to all safety regulations and requirements sent forth by Adornus, in addition to those mandated by local, state and federal laws
  • Ensures safe use of equipment; reports unsafe conditions and acts to management
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse and equipment

Warehouse Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Reviews packing lists, pulls orders, verifies outbound orders for quality, and completeness; Audits orders to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Pulls product (bulk pallets using forklift or individual boxes manually, transports from warehouse to dock
  • Embark materials in outgoing vehicles using appropriate tools
  • Examine incoming and outgoing shipments inspecting for defects and damages; notifies management of any damages immediately
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory
  • Completion of packaging/distribution documentation; documents exact shipment arrival and departure times
  • Records order information on specified documentation; enter data in inventory and logistics software programs

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe use of equipment; reports unsafe conditions and acts to management
  • Complies with all Company policies, safety guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse and equipment
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assigned tasks
  • Punctual and regular attendance
  • Performs all other duties as necessary or assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Customer focused, team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ability to follow directions and read maps
  • Knowledgeable of MVC regulations and adherence to safety regulations
  • Great physical stamina and manual dexterity to lift up to 100 lbs. unassisted, repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Adherence to safety regulations (e.g., constant use of PPE gear)
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Valid South Carolina Driver's License with minimum of three-year clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years Delivery/Warehousing and Distribution experience recommended
  • Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • Safety and OSHA training required (will train)

The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. The associate must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, packing slips, orders, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers and employees of organization. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
