Description

Start and end your day in Sioux Falls with no scheduled weekends! Primarily looking for a route driver, but needs to be willing to do shuttle routes if needed.

• Experienced drivers start at $31.54/hr

• Work 4-5 days per week (weekday routes, averaging 9-12 hours per day)
• Generally has overtime pay!
• Hours: Monday through Friday, with routes starting around 4am
• Eligible for insurance the first of the month after 60 days! Extremely low rates for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Solid overall benefits package.

Route Driver Overview

Starts and ends daily in Sioux Falls. The route begins early morning (around 4am) and ends early to mid-afternoon. The end time varies by day depending on order volume, with most drivers averaging 45-55 hours per week. Drivers pick up packed trailers and follow delivery routes, building loads at each stop, reading and scanning delivery tickets, working with customers on product placement, obtaining signatures, and developing relationships with repeat customers.

Shuttle Driver Overview

Pull two empty trailers from Sioux Falls depot to Fargo, move con gear to drop off and pick up full trailers, then return to Fargo. This evening route (starting around 6pm) is ideal for those seeking a drop-and-hook driving position. Work days are Sunday to Thursday nights, with weekends off.

Responsibilities

• Accurately, safely, and efficiently deliver merchandise using hand-trucks, ramps, and lift gates to customers on a predetermined route, including stairs and various weather conditions.
• Operate equipment safely, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, scanners, and printers.
• Provide high-level service and product integrity through safe and timely deliveries.
• Deliver and stack merchandise at customer locations.
• Record deliveries accurately, verify with customers, and obtain signatures.
• Follow FMCSA guidelines to reduce crash, injury, and fatality risks.
• Use onboard computer to record mileage, hours, and maintain driver logs per DOT guidelines.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and DVIRs.
• Maintain legal weight limits and proper load distributions.
• Practice defensive driving and proper body mechanics for safety.

Qualifications

Overall

• Valid CDL Class-A License with a safe driving record is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age: 21 years old.
• Preferred: 2 years of foodservice delivery and verifiable driving experience.
• Ability to read/write/record data and perform basic math.
• Ability to work independently and build customer relationships.
• Proficiency in English for communication and safety regulations.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical abilities test.

Physical

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 65 lbs., rarely up to 100 lbs.), pushing/pulling (up to 175-200 lbs.), and maneuvering gear controls.
• Work outdoors 20% of the time, indoors 80%.
• Exposure to hazards like moving vehicles, equipment, slippery surfaces, noise, fumes, and weather conditions.
