Job summary

Hocon Gas, Inc. is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver for a seasonal role in Torrington, CT. You will load, deliver and unload propane to residential and commercial customers, following safety procedures and DOT regulations.

You will work with dispatch, participate in on-call rotations, and maintain accurate paperwork. Pay ranges $26-$34 per hour, with a $3,000 Return Bonus for seasonal service.

Qualifications

• CDL required (Class A or B) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Valid driving record per company insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.
• Provide professional, courteous service at every customer location.
• Work with service and dispatch teams to support operational goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work as needed.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

• You’re consistently completing safe, on-time deliveries while following DOT, safety, and company standards.
• Customers recognize you as a reliable point of contact and trust you in their homes and facilities.
• Your truck inspections, paperwork, and electronic reporting are accurate and completed daily.
• You’re comfortable participating in the on-call rotation and communicating clearly when schedules change.

What You’ll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

• Complete onboarding, safety training, and ride-alongs to learn EDP delivery routes and procedures
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (DDVIR) and document findings accurately
• Begin independent deliveries with support from dispatch and service teams
• Learn how we communicate with customers, handle after-hours calls, and escalate service needs appropriately

Must Have

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required
• Commitment to following safety procedures without exception

Nice to Have

• Comfort using basic computer systems for logging, inspections, and documentation
• Experience working directly with residential or commercial customers
• Familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance standards

Pay

Pay: $26-34 per hour (based on experience)
