Job summary

Star Nursery Nevada is seeking a delivery driver to transport goods between store locations and customer destinations. You will load, secure, and unload merchandise, ensure on-time delivery, and operate a vehicle under 26,000 lbs GVW.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, route mapping, notifying dispatch of issues, maintaining accurate paperwork, and adhering to safety rules and traffic laws. The role requires reliable attendance and quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Proficient in reading manifests and verified load accuracy.
• Maintain clean driving record and comply with OSHA safety rules.
• Ability to load/unload goods and transfer merchandise between stores.
• Communicate with dispatch and follow delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 26,000 lbs.
• Pick-up and safely transport goods, etc. to intended destination
• Ensure contents are properly secured in truck, flatbed or bucket to prevent damage/injury
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries
• Assist in mapping driving routes
• Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
• Communicate with dispatch as needed
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
• Check weather conditions and road reports before departure
• Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
• Maintain, log and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
• OSHA Safety compliance
