Job summary

City of Altoona, PA is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely transport materials from the warehouse to customer job sites and unload as needed, placing materials in designated locations around each site.

You will assist with loading and unloading, returning damaged or excess materials to the warehouse, and restocking or disposing of them as directed. The role also includes general facility maintenance when not delivering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–6 months of related job experience or training.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain a PennDOT medical card.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Safe and professional operation of company vehicles including trucks, vans, trailers, and box trucks.
• Deliver materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
• Unload materials as required and place in designated locations at the job site.
• Return damaged, unused, or excess materials to the warehouse and restock or dispose of them as directed.
• Assist with general facility maintenance during non-delivery hours.
