Job summary

Colonial Electric Supply is hiring an experienced Truck Driver for regular full-time local delivery routes in the Ashland/Richmond area. You will start early, work Monday through Friday, and head home daily after completing routes.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of driving a 26ft box truck, a clean driver’s license, ability to pass DOT and OSHA requirements, and be comfortable serving customers at job sites. Company offers premium health plans, a 401(k) match, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of proven experience driving a 26ft box truck or similar vehicle.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR background screening required).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and OSHA requirements.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs during deliveries.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and load daily; perform pre-trip safety inspections.
• Deliver local routes to commercial job sites and company branches.
• Unload materials and provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely as needed.

Your Daily Route

• Inspect & Load: Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections and oversee the loading of the truck.
• Deliver Local: Drive dedicated local routes to deliver electrical components to commercial job sites and company branches.
• Unload & Connect: Safely unload materials for clients and provide friendly, professional customer service at every stop.
• Stay Safe: Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe manner.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience driving a 26ft box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
• License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR background screening required).
• Certifications: Ability to pass a DOT physical/certification and meet OSHA requirements.
• Physical: Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs during deliveries.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Home Daily: No over-the-road (OTR) tracking. You are home every single afternoon.
