Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a delivery driver for radiopharmaceuticals and oncology medications. On route you will load, unload, package for shipment, use a handheld tablet to verify orders, and transport materials safely while complying with DOT requirements.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexibility for 40-hour weeks, early start times, weekends, holidays, and on-call weeks. Benefits start day one, with a $17.00/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old due to driving a company vehicle.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Able to work early mornings and weekends/on-call shifts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in English for reading/writing documents.
• May require vendor credentialing or similar requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment and loads/unloads containers.
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route stop information, and navigation.
• Processes packages returned from customer locations.
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs.
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Shift/Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday. Typically an 8 hour shift with a start time between 2:00 am and 8:30 am.
• Weekends as needed 2:00 am – 7:00 am or 2:00 am -1:00 pm
• Holidays as assigned
• On call work every 10-14 weeks. When on call it is a week at a time Monday through Saturday.
• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to manager weight up to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing
