Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a delivery driver to support the prompt distribution of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology medications to medical facilities on an assigned route. You will prepare doses for shipment, load and unload containers, and use a handheld tablet to scan orders and navigate stops.

Expect a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, early start times, and possible overtime. Benefits start day one; competitive pay at $17 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions day or night.
• Able to read and write in English for documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceutical/oncology medications to medical care providers on assigned routes.
• Package and prepare shipments, load/unload containers.
• Scan orders with handheld tablet for accuracy and route info.
• Maintain vehicle and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Support general facility tasks and cleaning as required.

Shift/Schedule

• 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday. Typically, an 8-hour shift with start time between 1:30 am - 7:30 am. Schedule will be based on business needs.
• Weekends potentially up once a month or more depending on business needs 3:00 am - 11:00 am. Holidays and weekends by rotation 3:00 am - 1:00 pm.
• On call work typically once every 2 weeks. On-Call is for the 24-hour period of the day the employee signed up for. 12:00 am-11:59 pm for the respective day.
• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, shifts and overtime as per business need.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to manage weightup to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing
