Delivery Driver - Non CDL (Finance)

Are you friendly and do you thrive on providing great customer service? Are you detail-oriented and safety conscious? Do you enjoy working independently? If so, we'd like you to join our team as a Delivery Driver - Non CDL.

About the Role:

You will:

1. Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management.
2. Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load properly to prevent shifting, damage, or falling. Ensure necessary equipment for safe unloading is available.
3. Understand shipping documents associated with each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination.
4. Review shipping documentation for accuracy.
5. Unload merchandise at the delivery site, placing it as requested. Obtain a legible signature for all delivered merchandise per company policy.
6. Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sales prior to releasing merchandise.
7. Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
8. Load merchandise from other locations, including vendor pickups, customer returns, and other wholesalers.
9. Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer information encountered during deliveries.
10. Inspect the truck and required parts for safe operation before departure. Keep the truck clean.
11. Report mechanical issues to management. Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report if applicable.
12. At the end of the day, remove keys and store them in the approved location.
13. Complete required safety and compliance training.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You:

1. You must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you must:
   • Be at least 21 years old
   • Possess a valid driver's license
   • Have a driving record that meets company criteria for an Authorized Driver
   • Pass a Department of Transportation physical exam before starting and every two years thereafter

• Know the laws, rules, and regulations for driving motor vehicles, especially those governed by the Department of Transportation.
• Apply safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations.
• Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
• Learn and operate computer systems used in delivery processes.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Perform basic math operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
