Delivery Driver - Non-CDL - Atlantic Tire Distributors

Atlantic Tire Distributors has openings for Non-CDL Delivery Drivers!

We are currently seeking Warehouse Non-CDL Drivers to join our amazing Atlantic Tire Distributors team in Knoxville, TN! While based in Knoxville, this position will require driving primarily in the Chattanooga, TN area. Summary:

Operate a light vehicle such as a box truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight, to deliver and pick up tires at customer locations. Must be able to unload and load tires of light to heavy weight. A positive demeanor and customer-service oriented approach is essential. Collecting payments and bills in an orderly manner to be turned in at the end of the route. When needed, you must be able to perform Warehouse operational work, such as picking tires on an order picker and loading or unloading trucks.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
  • Be able to count, collect, and keep track of billing invoices and payments.

  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment: Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or box trucks.

The truck may or may not be air-conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency, commercial driving and/or warehouse experience preferred.
