Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to deliver material to customer job sites, operate a forklift, and maintain the lumber yard and warehouse. A valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record are required, with starting pay of $17-$18/hr plus weekly OT.

Be at least 21, able to read and speak English, and meet FMCSA requirements, including a clean MVR and a current CDL if needed. 84 Lumber offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSA.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and hold a valid/current certificate of driver's road test per FMCSA.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a CDL.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a valid Medical Exam certificate or card.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
• Forklift training, certification, and operation
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management

Qualifications
