Job summary

84 Lumber is hiring for a warehouse/yard role in Milford, DE. You will build loads for delivery, operate forklifts, and maintain a safe, organized lumber yard and warehouse. You will communicate delays to management and perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have forklift training/certification, strong time management, and clear English communication. OT is available; benefits include PTO, insurance, and 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
  • Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the FMCSA.
  • Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the FMCSA.
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the FMCSA.
  • Complete or have completed a driver’s road test with a valid certificate as required by the FMCSA.
  • Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license.
  • Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a valid Medical Exam certificate.
  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse.

  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
