• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment; report mechanical issues.
• Present bills/receipts and collect payments for deliveries.
• Load and unload goods daily and verify inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Maintain vehicle logs and cargo/billing records per regulations.
• Read maps and follow geographic directions; communicate delays or hazards.
• Check in with customers to announce arrival and serve as liaison.

• This is a Full-Time position with opportunities for overtime pay.
• The hours for this position may vary but are typically Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with no evenings or weekends.
• The successful candidate will drive a light duty box or flatbed vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), to deliver construction supplies to customers' offices or job sites.
• Daily routes will be assigned, and the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering all goods on their route.
  

About This Role

What You'll Do

• The successful candidate will be responsible for obeying traffic laws and following established traffic and transportation procedures.
• They will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the vehicle's supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• The successful candidate will report any mechanical problems encountered with the vehicle.
• They will present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
• They will be responsible for loading and unloading goods daily.
• The successful candidate will verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• They will turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• The successful candidate will maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
• They will read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
• The successful candidate will report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
• They will check in with customers either by phone or text at each designated account to announce arrival and serve as company liaison for the customer.
  

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds while demonstrating safety techniques.
• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Must be able to climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces.
• Valid Driver's License. Motor Vehicle Record must show a record of sustained safe driving with no moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Minimum 2 years' experience of prior commercial driving experience and deliveries.
• Must have a current DOT Physical Card or be able to pass a standard DOT Physical.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of prior commercial driving experience and deliveries.
• Minimum 2 years' experience of prior commercial driving experience.
• Must be able to climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces.
• Valid Driver's License. Motor Vehicle Record must show a record of sustained safe driving with no moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Must have a current DOT Physical Card or be able to pass a standard DOT Physical.
• Must always secure your load and have experience & knowledge of proper Technic.
• Inspect your vehicle daily.
• Keep clean and Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
• Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions.
• Collect fares or payment from customers.
• Load shipments, belongings, or materials.
• Read maps & GPS tracking to determine routes.
• Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
• Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards.
• Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment.
• Maintain vehicles in good working condition.
