Job summary

Carter Lumber in Kentucky is seeking a Delivery Specialist who will transport orders to customers safely and on time, using a company vehicle up to several trips per day. You will deliver with a friendly, professional demeanor, meet daily schedules, and may help in the yard to reach weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials or large items
• An acceptable driving record; chauffeur/class C or D license may be required in some states
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player and provide friendly customer service
• Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
• Monday–Friday starting at 5am

Responsibilities

Description
As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle multiple times a day. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
• Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
• Monday-Friday starting at 5am
