Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers in a safe, timely manner using company vehicles. You’ll ensure daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly, professional customer service, and may assist in the Yard to reach weekly hours goals.

Ideal candidates have previous delivery experience and a clean driving record, with a friendly, customer-focused approach. This is a full-time role based in Ohio, offering growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience handling building materials or large items.
• Valid driving record; chauffeur/class C or D where required.
• Team-oriented and customer-service driven.

Responsibilities

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
