Overview

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering materials to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

1. Building loads for delivery and unloading freight, including lumber and building supplies.
2. Operating forklifts, including training and certification.
3. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lumber yard and warehouse.
4. Communicating delays or discrepancies with management.
5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports.
• Ability to safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide, annually, a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or a certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Not be disqualified to drive under the same act.
• Complete or have completed a driver’s road test and hold a valid certificate.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, may require a commercial motor vehicle license.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, may require a valid Medical Exam certificate or card.
• High school diploma or GED.
