Job Summary

Makes deliveries to customers using a company-provided or rental vehicle. Maintains records of deliveries, inspects and maintains delivery vehicles, and provides customer service on order and delivery issues. This position requires operation of a company or rental vehicle, and this operation may be done during the average work week. The company will continuously monitor Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs). A valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR status are required.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver customer orders safely within a service area, including interfacing with customers on order issues.
2. Load inventory into trucks and unload at customer sites using material handling equipment.
3. Review order manifests for accuracy and completeness.
4. Perform vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
5. Maintain contact with the distribution center regarding delivery updates.
6. Prepare and maintain delivery records.
7. Update customers on delivery statuses.
8. Provide feedback on customer service issues.

Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering merchandise using a box truck or similar vehicle.
• 1+ years operating material handling equipment.
• No more than 2 minor accidents and 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; 2-5 years of related experience.

Work Environment

• Comfortable environment with exposure to factors like temperature extremes, noise, fumes.
• Physical exertion including walking, standing, lifting (50+ pounds).
• Overnight travel less than 10%.
