Job summary

Rexel USA is seeking a Truck Driver to join the Mayer Team in Charleston, SC. The driver will deliver products to customers and branch locations, ensure accurate orders, and uphold safety standards in daily operations.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, DOT compliance, loading/unloading, and proper documentation. No CDL is required, and guidance will be provided as part of the training/mentoring process within Rexel's extensive distribution network.

Qualifications

• GVW up to 26,000 lbs
• Ability to diagnose and solve basic issues
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and driver laws
• Willingness to follow routes, schedules and safety procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to meet deadlines
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and complete daily inspection report
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced and maintained; report repairs
• Follow DOT and state driving laws
• Load/unload materials; verify quantity and condition
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain signed receipts
• Pickup material returns and verify condition and quantities
• Collect materials from suppliers
• Mentor entry-level drivers as needed
• Assist in other branch duties (sales, stocking, shipping) as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
