Job summary

Rexel USA in Charleston, SC is seeking a Truck Driver to join the Mayer Team. You will deliver products to customers, branch locations, and suppliers in a box truck (No CDL required).

Responsibilities include inspecting the vehicle, loading and unloading, completing delivery paperwork, and adhering to DOT and safety regulations. The Senior Driver may mentor entry level drivers and support branch operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must attend company driver training
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire
• Must not have had a suspended license for a traffic accident/violation in past 3 years
• Must not have any at fault accidents in past 3 years

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection report
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained
• Follow DOT, local and state driving laws and regulations
• Load or unload vehicle and verify material for each order
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Complete delivery documentation (receipts, packing lists, manifests)
• Retrieve material returns from customers and inspect condition
• Pick up material from suppliers
• Mentor entry level Truck Drivers alongside Senior Driver
• Perform other duties at the branch as required
