Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients and to assist with setup and patient education.

You will follow routes, inspect vehicles, and maintain documentation while providing excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards. This role may require on-call rotation during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMC regulations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver home medical equipment to patients following established routes and schedules.
• Assist with equipment setup and patient education on safe use.
• Maintain vehicle inspection and cleanliness; ensure safety during loading/unloading.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations during evenings and weekends as required.
• Adhere to FDA and DOT paperwork and training protocols.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
• Strong customer service
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:

  • pulling hand over hand

  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Use depth perception
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
