Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients and provide equipment setup and patient education. The role requires adherence to routes, safety standards, and strong patient communication.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 1+ year driving experience, and be able to lift substantial weights. Training and on-call incentives are part of the package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Must lift 50+ pounds.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Non-CDL drivers can be 18+; CDL drivers must be 21+.
• Read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address patient medical emergencies.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
