Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Cincinnati, OH team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment, providing equipment setup, and educating patients on proper use.

You will follow routes, maintain the vehicle, and participate in an on-call rotation during evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license and DOT/FMCsa compliance readiness are required, along with at least one year of driving experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to routes and schedules.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with transportation laws.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and loading/unloading safety.
• Establish and maintain positive relations with patients and team members.
• Maintain vehicle/warehouse cleanliness and comply with FDA protocols.
• On-call rotation during evenings and weekends for emergencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
• Strong customer service

• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:

  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Use depth perception
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
