The 1978 Collection in Eighty Four, PA is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver for our linens division. You will deliver and pick up linens for events throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area, maintain professional customer service, and navigate urban routes daily.

Starting pay is 22.00 per hour with a typical 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedule, guaranteed at least 40 hours weekly, and full-time benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and handle manual material moves.
• Flexibility to work peak-season hours and occasional weekends.
• Ability to read packing lists and follow delivery instructions.

Job description

The 1978 Collection, a prestigious event services company located in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our linens division.

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up linens and related items for events throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable driving in the city, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Position details

• Starting pay: $22.00 per hour
• Schedule: Typically 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Hours: At least 40 hours per week
• Location: Washington County and the greater Pittsburgh area
• Vehicle: Company-provided cargo/box vans, including vehicles up to approximately 20 feet in length
• Status: Full Time

Peak-season schedules may require extended workdays, particularly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Occasional weekend work may also be required, including Saturday morning deliveries, Saturday late-night pickups, and Saturday on-call assignments. Special event and after-hours assignments may qualify for additional pay in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up linens and event-related materials at multiple locations each day
• Load and unload the company vehicle safely and efficiently
• Review and follow packing lists to confirm that the correct items are delivered
• Use GPS and route information to navigate changing delivery routes
• Provide professional, courteous service to customers and venue personnel
• Safely operate company vehicles in city, suburban, and highway environments
• Complete delivery and pickup assignments accurately and on schedule
• Perform general warehouse duties on days when deliveries are not scheduled
• Learn and perform warehouse responsibilities through company-provided training
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the required company uniform

Routes will include both repeat and new customers and will vary from day to day and week to week. Most deliveries take place in and around the city of Pittsburgh, so candidates must be comfortable driving and navigating in urban areas.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak season
• Ability to read and understand packing lists and delivery instructions
• Ability to use GPS and other basic navigation tools
• General familiarity with Pittsburgh-area roads and locations
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• No DOT certification is required for this position

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform medium to heavy lifting during deliveries and pickups
• Ability to enter and exit the delivery vehicle repeatedly throughout the workday
• Ability to load, unload, move, and organize linens and related materials
• Ability to remain active and on your feet for extended periods
