Job description

Job Title: Delivery Driver

This position is responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. They are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

The selected individual will work at Store #7103, located at 909 Gross Rd., Mesquite TX 75149.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The company requires a review of criminal history to ensure safety and protect its operations, staff, customers, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently.
2. Properly load customer orders on the truck.
3. Complete appropriate forms.
4. Load, transport, and deliver items safely and timely.
5. Maintain the store vehicle and report repair needs.
6. Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints.
7. Follow assigned routes and schedules.
8. Adhere to transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
9. Prepare delivery reports and documents.
10. Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
11. Perform store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting, mixing orders, and customer service.

Minimum requirements include being at least 21 years old, legally authorized to work without sponsorship, possessing a valid driver's license, and a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or willingness to obtain one within five days of conditional offer.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of delivery driving experience.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience selling paint and related products.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
