Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Driver I in Austin, TX to operate a commercial small truck or van under 26,000 lbs. You will deliver and pickup cargo, keep logs, perform vehicle inspections, and support efficient route execution.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, complying with DOT regulations, preparing load paperwork, and assisting with loading/unloading as needed. Valid license and clean MVR are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing English proficiency required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
• Commitment to safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Experience with logbooks or electronic logging devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial small truck or van safely to destinations.
• Follow DOT regulations and state laws; maintain accurate driving logs.
• Perform basic fleet maintenance and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Prepare load documents and bills of lading.
• Manage driver hours and rest periods per regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisor on route status and delays.
• Ensure timely delivery and secure cargo with proper equipment.
• Handle loading/unloading when necessary and operate forklifts if needed.
• Maintain clean work environment and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with other duties as required.
