Job summary

Austin Hose is seeking a delivery driver with warehouse responsibilities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of driving and warehouse experience. You must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history, with the CDL a plus.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load and unload, and ensure accurate delivery and documentation. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, communicating with customers and supervisors, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of six months driving and warehouse operations experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record; Class CDL a plus but not required.
• Driving history must meet corporate safety program qualifications.
• Ability to quickly learn warehouse and delivery procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and read maps.
• Strong communication with customers, peers and supervisors.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work assignments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must pass random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections for all equipment.
• Pre-trip inspections on trailers used in delivery.
• Drive safely and keep phone hands-free (no texting while driving).
• Meet delivery times as determined by dispatch; may involve weekends or after-hours.
• No smoking in vehicles; subject to random inspections.
• Deliver orders timely and report delays to supervisor or customer.
• Report vehicle or trailer maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain daily delivery logs with invoice numbers and times.
• Verify orders against pick tickets; supervisor signs off before loading.
• Load pickups/trailers according to delivery stops; secure items properly.
• Record credit card references used with the vehicle; return receipts.
