Job summary

Thistle Health is seeking a Delivery Driver in Long Beach, CA to bring ready-to-eat meals to customers and represent our quality and reliability at the doorstep.

You will use our delivery app, verify items, and communicate with dispatch to keep routes moving while meeting a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. A valid license, insurance, smartphone, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Proof of insurance that includes liability and bodily injury.
• A reliable, clean, well-maintained vehicle with capacity for multiple medium-sized bags of meals, snacks, and beverages
• A reliable smartphone and comfort with using mobile technology for routing and instructions
• This position requires the ability to understand and follow safety instructions, in English to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to manually lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the assigned Thistle location at your scheduled shift start with a fully charged smartphone and sufficient fuel
• Verify that all items are accounted for before leaving for deliveries
• Use our delivery app to complete assigned stops and follow customer instructions
• Collect return bags and ice packs and return them to your pickup location at the beginning of your next shift
• Communicate clearly and consistently with our dispatch team to keep routes moving
