Role: Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products from the warehouse to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries according to company standards.
Key Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer units and unload products using appropriate equipment in all weather conditions.
- Complete paperwork accurately, including logs, inspections, and invoices.
- Maintain food safety and sanitary standards in vehicles and warehouse.
- Develop customer relationships through courteous service and effective communication.
- Report route, trailer, or product issues to management and ensure proper handling of damaged goods and returns.
- Adhere to safety protocols, operate equipment properly, and follow company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED; tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety practices, and handling hazardous materials.
- Ability to operate large vehicles, communicate effectively, solve problems, and perform basic math.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy loads, and work in various environments.
Work Environment: Involves driving in diverse conditions, occasional exposure to extreme weather, mechanical parts, and airborne particles. Requires flexibility for overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet customer needs.
