This role requires strong attention to detail, safe driving habits, careful material handling, and a service-oriented mindset. The Delivery Driver is a core support position and works closely with the CNC, Saw, PLAM, Finishing, Hardware, Assembly, and Office teams to ensure materials and completed products move efficiently between the shop, field, and suppliers.

We operate with a clear set of values that guide how we work, make decisions, and treat each other. These are not just words; they are expectations we hold ourselves to every day in the way we show up and execute our work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery & Transportation
    • Pick up and deliver finished millwork, cabinetry, hardware, raw materials, and shop supplies to jobsites, warehouses, vendors, and customer locations.
    • Review delivery tickets (BOL – Bill of Lading), packing lists, and job instructions to determine route priorities, delivery sequence, and material requirements.
    • Safely operate company delivery vehicles in accordance with traffic laws, DOT requirements as applicable, and company safety standards.
    • Plan and execute efficient local delivery routes throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area (and out of the area as needed) while maintaining on-time performance.
    • Communicate with the office, shop, and field contacts regarding arrival times, delays, site access issues, and delivery completion.
  • Loading, Unloading & Material Handling
    • Load and unload finished millwork, cabinetry, panels, trim, and related materials with care to avoid damage during transit and handling.
    • Use straps, blankets, padding, dollies, carts, and other material‑handling methods to secure and protect products per company standards.
    • Inspect materials prior to departure and upon delivery to confirm order accuracy, quantity, and visible condition.
    • Assist with staging outgoing orders and organizing materials in the shop for upcoming deliveries.
    • Support pickups of urgent materials, replacement parts, and vendor orders as needed to keep production moving.
  • Documentation & Coordination
    • Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, photos, and other required documentation at each stop.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and any delivery-related incidents or discrepancies.
    • Flag and communicate any damaged materials, missing items, incorrect parts, or site delivery issues to the Shop Foreman or Production Manager.
    • Mark completed deliveries with job number and location details for downstream tracking and coordination.
  • Vehicle Care & Shop Support
    • Perform daily vehicle checks including fuel, tires, lights, cleanliness, and basic operating condition before and after routes.
    • Maintain company vehicles in clean and organized condition; report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
    • Assist with basic shop support tasks when not on delivery runs, including staging materials, organizing hardware, or helping move completed assemblies.
    • Keep work area, delivery vehicle, and loading zones clean, organized, and free of waste and debris.
    • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education & Experience
    • Minimum 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in delivery driving, material handling, warehouse support, or construction-related transportation preferred.
    • Experience transporting cabinetry, millwork, doors, trim, glass, stone, or other finished construction materials is preferred.
