Summary

As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role at RNDC by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non-cash payments as necessary, contributing to the financial transactions associated with the deliveries.

In this role, you will

1. Properly conduct a pre and post trip inspection, noting any vehicle defects. Abide by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for your license type.
2. The potential for dedicated overnight routes exists.
3. Accurately deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet, or hand-stack from the delivery truck and place said merchandise into the customer account.
4. Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtain customer signature, and process payment if necessary.
5. Ensure the physical security of the truck at all times.
6. Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, with potential to deliver up to 30 during peak times.
7. Cover approximately 160 miles daily, with occasional increases to 200-300 miles during busy periods or out-of-town routes.
8. Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
9. Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
10. Utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours of service (HOS) software and driver monitoring programs.

What You Bring To RNDC

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
4. Current Class B CDL driver's license (Class A also allowed and may be required depending on position).
5. Ability to obtain and maintain valid DOT medical certification.
6. Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state.
