Job Description

The selected candidate will work at Store #708156, located at 2940 6th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134. This full‑time role starts at $25.75 per hour (flexible with experience). The driver will deliver products, including hazardous materials, to customers using box and flat‑bed trucks. Drivers must ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. They are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements efficiently.
  • Load customer orders properly onto the truck.
  • Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
  • Transport and deliver items to customers safely and on schedule.
  • Maintain the store vehicle and report repairs or servicing needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints.
  • Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Prepare reports and documents relating to deliveries.
  • Operate equipment and machines as required.
  • Perform other store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Valid, unrestricted Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement.
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) from a DOT licensed medical examiner or willingness to obtain one within five business days of a conditional offer.
  • Physical ability to retrieve material from shelves, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodation).
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient reading and speaking English sufficient for communication and record entry.
  • For internal Sherwin‑Williams employees, a “meets expectations” performance rating and completion of required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience as a delivery driver.
  • At least one year of experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Previous experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages, including Spanish.
