Job summary

Columbia Distributing in Bend, OR seeks a CDL Delivery Driver to unload, deliver and check-in products at customer accounts while providing top-notch service. You will coordinate with Sales Representatives and Merchandisers daily.

The role requires a Class A CDL, valid license, and ability to lift up to 165 lbs. Local travel and varied hours are expected; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Active Class A CDL with valid license and clean record.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs repeatedly and up to 165 lbs for keg handling.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load and check-in products at customer accounts.
• Balance invoices and verify payments; ensure paperwork is complete.
• Deliver Company's products safely and on time.
• Maintain professional customer interactions daily.
• Inspect vehicle pre- and post-trip for safety and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies and DOT/state liquor laws.
• Work indoors and outdoors as required.

Job description

CDL Delivery Drivers play a critical role in the day-to-day operations, while interacting with customers, Sales Representatives, and Merchandisers daily to meet the expectations of the business. They are responsible for delivering, unloading and checking in the product to customers each day. Our Drivers are the face of the Company and must provide top notch customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Unloading, loading, and checking-in products at customer accounts
• Balancing invoices, verifying payments, and ensuring applicable paperwork is received
• Work or rotate delivered product when necessary
• Uphold sustainable relationships with customer accounts by providing outstanding consistent customer service
• Adhere to and follow all Company policies, procedures and government regulations including all DOT & state liquor laws and regulations
• Complete Driver assigned duties delivering Company's products in a safe, timely and professional manner
• Inspects the vehicle pre- and post-trip to monitor the maintenance and safety of the vehicle
• Work with all team members on a continual basis to support and evaluate company initiatives
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times

Physical Demands

• Use of hand truck, pallet jack, and lift gate.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, days and hours of work vary and may include overtime. This position does not have any overnight or long-haul travel/hours.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Active Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Maintain valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and current certifications

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months previous CDL driving experience
• Previous grocery or retail experience
• Class A (Manual) CDL

Compensation

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
