Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related products. It is one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products. Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet, with most vehicles under 6 years old, equipped with driver-friendly technology such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology, and GPS navigation.

As the "face of Airgas," the Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The role involves loading, unloading, delivering, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with customers.

In particular, you will:

1. Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations. Record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtain signatures from customers for receipt purposes. Collect empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise. Return empty cylinders to a plant or branch location for refilling.
2. Establish and maintain good customer relations. Listen to and help resolve service inquiries and complaints.
3. Provide timely communication to the manager or the customer's assigned Airgas sales associate regarding any changes or issues experienced by the customer.
4. Maintain load manifests and all required vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and reconciled with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries. Ensure all safety standards and government regulations are always complied with, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA standards.
5. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies, and ensuring all safety items are in good working order.
6. Work in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Are you a MATCH?

• Valid Class B Driver's License.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications (or ability to acquire certifications as a condition of employment).
• At least 1 year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record (no more than 2 convictions, or 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, or a combination of 1 conviction and 1 accident).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• In lieu of experience, consideration may be given to a diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving and Airgas-specific experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
