What You Will Do

As the "face of Airgas," the Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. Using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will load, unload, deliver, and return cylinders while engaging with customers regularly.

Your Responsibilities

1. Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases, record deliveries, and obtain customer signatures.
2. Establish and maintain good customer relations, resolving inquiries and complaints.
3. Communicate promptly with managers or sales associates regarding customer issues.
4. Perform cylinder inspections following operating procedures.
5. Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
6. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting deficiencies.
7. Observe safety rules, reporting accidents or injuries immediately.
8. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
9. Assist in warehouse or dock duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Valid Class A Driver's License and Medical Examiner's Card.
3. Hazmat and Airbrake Certifications or ability to obtain them.
4. At least 1 year of recent Class A driving experience with a clean record or equivalent training.
5. Experience in gas, welding, or safety supply industry preferred.
6. Basic PC skills and familiarity with onboard computers preferred.
7. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
8. Ability to operate forklifts and perform basic mathematical calculations.
9. Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
