Job summary

Odeko is hiring a delivery driver in the Boston area to support our growing network of cafe partners. The role involves delivering customer orders, following safety protocols, and using a handheld device and RF scanner to build orders.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, 4+ years of driving experience in Boston, be able to lift up to 60 pounds, and read/write English. The position offers weekly pay and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive Boston-area delivering orders following safety protocols.

• Move items with hand truck or pallet jack.
• Identify and resolve order issues in real time.
• Use handheld device for routing and customer data.
• Use RF scanner to pull items for orders.
• Move boxes up to 60 lb throughout the fulfillment center.
• Assist with loading/unloading merchandise to vehicles.
• Read, write, and understand English.

$/hr Paid Weekly// Schedule/hours Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. until 3:00pm

Must have experience driving in the Boston area and have held a driver’s license for at least 4 years with no major violations in the past 7 years.

What your shift will look like:

• Drive across the Boston area delivering customer orders while following all safety protocols
• Enter and exit the vehicle from the driver’s door/cargo bay doors to pull the customer’s order and stack it on the dolly, ensuring no product is damaged in the process
• Determine placement of merchandise while following safety and lifting protocols during deliveries
• Use a hand truck to move cases and loose items across various building obstacles such as stairs, ramps, and sidewalks
• Correctly identify any order issues and resolve them in real-time
• Utilize a handheld device for routing and obtaining or submitting customer information
• Using an RF scanner, identify and pull items to build customer orders
• Frequently move boxes weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the fulfillment center
• Operate a hand truck, pallet jack, or electric pallet jack to move inventory across the fulfillment center
• Assist with the loading and unloading of merchandise and non-inventory in and out of delivery vehicles, trucks, and vans
• Perform all tasks as assigned
• Must be able to read, write, & understand/speak English
