Job description

Join our team as a Delivery Driver Assistant and embark on an exciting journey of responsibility and growth! We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual who will play a crucial role in the smooth delivery, pickup, and processing of Loffler equipment and commodities. As the right-hand to our experienced delivery driver, you will load and unload delivery vehicles with care and precision, ensuring the accurate placement of equipment at customer sites. You will also have the opportunity to assist in configuring device settings for multiple machine deliveries. With great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, you will follow delivery schedules, confirm arrangements with customers, and notify the installation coordinator of any delays. As a dedicated team player, you will uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service, leaving a lasting impression at every stop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in "other related duties as assigned":

  • Careful and accurate loading and unloading of the delivery vehicles, verifying products based on daily assignments and routes.
  • Follow the delivery schedule provided by the installation coordinator.
  • Call customers to confirm the delivery method and notify them when they are in route to the location.
  • Notify the install coordinator of any delivery delays that occur to coordinate with IT for networking.
  • Install equipment and finishers in the locations designated by the customer and test copy.
  • Notify the install coordinator when the last stop is completed to see if there is anything in that area that needs to be completed.
  • Ensure all delivery and acceptance forms are signed, filled out, and returned for processing.
  • Unload the truck at the end of the day and move the equipment picked up to the appropriate area.
  • Keep the delivery trucks clean and maintained as needed. Including recording the log book history for maintenance, and keeping the blankets and straps organized.
  • Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Great organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively perform your duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and achieve deadlines and results.
  • Good customer service skills dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Team-orientated individual.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED and one year of related experience.
  • Basic computer, network, and phone skills.

The posted range for this position represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum starting compensation for this role. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
