Warning Lites of MN is expanding our team. We are looking to hire highly motivated individuals as Traffic Control Shop Laborer/Driver Helpers. Whether it is assisting in setting up a safe work zone, working in the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks or assisting in delivering product throughout the metro, these key employees keep our day to day operations on track.

The Role:

As a Traffic Control Shop Laborer/Driver Helper, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Assisting in setting up a safe work zone that ensures that traffic does not cause a threat to workers and the general traveling public. This involves setting up signs, barrels, barricades, and other approved traffic control devices that will guide the public through a work zone safely. Equipment varies in size/weight (up to 100 lbs) and must be lifted/moved/picked up frequently and repetitively throughout the workdays.
• Loading and unloading trucks containing signs, barrels, barricades, and other approved traffic control devices. Equipment varies in size/weight (up to 100 lbs) and must be lifted/moved/picked up frequently and repetitively throughout the workdays.
• Performing shop work as required including preparing orders, cleaning and repairing equipment, and general housekeeping adhering to position Essential Functions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

TC Shop Laborers/Driver Helpers don’t mind the Minnesota weather and have a high regard for safety and excellent customer service. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position, are highly self-motivated, detailed, and take initiative to get the job done right while managing multiple tasks at once. We provide on-the-job training for the tasks that the TC Shop Laborer/Driver Helpers will need to perform but we do require the following:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (as determined by our insurance company).
• Able to utilize a GPS device and read a map when assisting as a Driver Helper.
• Ability to work long hours during Spring/Summer/Fall months.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (70+ pounds) frequently and repetitively, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Must have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Must have working knowledge of English sufficient enough to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information.
• Experience performing manual labor.

Preferred:

• 3+ years of overall, consistent work experience.
• Traffic control experience.

• $1,000 hiring bonus paid incrementally.
• Competitive hourly pay- opportunity to earn $35,000-$70,000+/season year.
• Opportunity for Prevailing Wage ($41.25/hr or more depending on the prevailing wage job). Prevailing Wage jobs earn overtime for working more than 8 hours per day.
